Description

Drawing on Swedish, Scandinavian, and Norwegian cuisine, I've put together the quintessential Nordic charcuterie board! Combine 1-2 from each category to make a board perfect for grazing (or a variety-filled no-cook meal).

Ingredients

Meats: Choose 1-2, 2-4 oz of each

  • Smoked salmon
  • Gravlax
  • Cold cuts
  • Hard-boiled eggs or deviled eggs
  • Liver pate
  • Smoked sausages

Cheeses: Choose 1-2, 2-4 oz of each

  • Cheddar
  • Jarlsberg
  • Stilton

Fruits/Veggies: Choose 1-4 (optional)

  • Watercress
  • Lemon slices
  • Pickles
  • Dates
  • Figs
  • Beets and/or Pickled beets
  • Carrots
  • Cucumber
  • Blanched asparagus
  • Apples/Pears

Extras: Choose 1-4 (optional)

Toppings/Garnishings: Choose 1-2 (optional)

  • Chives
  • Dill

Instructions

  1. Choose the foods you'd like to include on your charcuterie board from the list above. Keep in mind that most charcuterie boards include meats, cheese, either fruits or veggies, and something crunchy like crackers or nuts. Use the toppings/garnishings to fill in gaps when putting together the board.
