With only a few days left in the year, it's time to recap the Top 10 Recipes of 2019 on DoYouEvenPaleo.net!

In truth, I can't believe an entire year has passed. January 2019 seems like SO DANG LONG ago, but I'm horrified that January 2020 is so close!

My year was packed. I've worked my butt off, but not always on the things that I want to be working on.

But let's get into some stats first!

    By the numbers

    Recipes published: 51
    Pageviews: ~420,000

I published almost 30% fewer recipes this year, but I feel like I worked SO much more. My website had to take a bit of a backseat while I was in the heart of wedding season (yes, I'm a wedding photographer too!), and I was totally unprepared for how busy I would be.

As a result, my overall pageviews took a hit, too… But admittedly, it wasn't as much of a hit as I expected! Hopefully that means good things for 2020.

    Looking ahead to 2020

I have big goals for 2020. Would I even keep up with this blog if I didn't?

Well, I want to fill you in on some of my goals. Keep me accountable, my online friends!

    1. I'd like to learn more about video, start a YouTube channel, and create some recipe videos. Now, video is NOT my medium of choice. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of consuming videos. But I AM cognizant of blogging's trajectory and the fact that I'm essentially a Boomer in a Millenial's body when it comes to my content tastes. Also, I'm fascinated with the potential for better connecting with people through video. So why not give it a try?
    2. In 2020, I'll also focus on giving old recipes a refresh - after all, as you'll see below, my most popular recipes are from YEARS ago! The accompanying posts and pictures could use a little TLC.
    3. Finally, I plan to completely refresh the website in 2020. Not much to dish about that yet, but it's a BIG goal for the year.

    Top 10 Recipes of 2019

    Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

When I first published this recipe, I NEVER would have guessed that it would continue to be so dang popular! Every holiday, this recipe gets a huge boost in traffic. I refreshed the photos this year, but I think this post needs little extra love next year!

    Crazy Easy Pan-Fried Plantain Patties

    Mashed Plantains—Sweet & Savory

I’m so happy that this recipe is more popular than the sweeter maple syrup version of mashed sweet potatoes. If you’ve never had roasted garlic in your potatoes, you are missing out!
